"Detached" is a visual meditation on the sensation of dissociation and the surreal, often isolating feeling of being separated from one's body or sense of self.

Two figures drift weightlessly in a chromatic void: one rendered in transparent glass, the other in reflective metal. They represent two opposing states: the fragility of detachment and the dense, grounding weight of inner overwhelm.

Surrounding the figures are floating spheres that mirror this contrast: glass spheres orbit the metal body, and metal ones hover around the glass. This creates a symbolic tension between lightness and heaviness, clarity and confusion, vulnerability and resistance, a balance that must be carefully maintained to preserve emotional peace.

The colour palette: tranquil purples and blues disrupted by sudden bursts of orange, evokes both serenity and internal chaos. These hues are not just aesthetic choices but emotional cues: a reflection of how detachment can paradoxically bring moments of calm and introspection, even amidst confusion.

"Detached" does not attempt to resolve the experience it portrays. Instead, it offers a still frame within a fluctuating state, a moment of suspension where presence and absence coexist, and where meaning can be found not through control, but through acceptance.
